Refund policy

Last updated July 2026 · Draft. Review by counsel before you rely on it

Billing is not live yet

Formclock does not currently take payment: there is no checkout, and no card details are stored. Every workspace runs without charge today, whatever plan it is on, so there is nothing to refund.

This policy is written in advance, in the future tense, so it is clear before billing ships how refunds and cancellations will work. When the section headings below change to the present tense, the product will have changed too – and this page will be dated accordingly.

Free plan

The Free plan is free forever for its included limits. Nothing is charged, so nothing is refunded.

Cancelling a paid plan

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it is not a request for a refund of the current period.

When you cancel, your workspace keeps its paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then moves to the Free plan. Your data stays put – cancelling a plan does not delete your workspace.

Monthly plans

Monthly plans are billed for the month ahead. If you cancel partway through a month, you keep access until the end of that month and are not charged again; we do not refund the unused part of a month that has already begun.

Annual plans

Annual plans are billed once for the year (at the discounted annual rate). If you cancel during the year, your plan stays active until the end of the term you paid for and does not renew.

We do not refund the unused portion of an annual term except where we are required to by law, or where we agree to in writing. If you have a specific situation, contact us – we would rather talk it through than hide behind a clause.

14-day goodwill window

If a workspace is charged for the first time on a paid plan and decides within 14 days that Formclock is not right for it, contact us within that window and we will refund that first charge in full. This is a goodwill commitment, offered once per workspace, and it does not remove any right you have under applicable law.

Seats and downgrades

Paid plans are priced per active user – someone you schedule or track. Archiving or deactivating a person removes them from your next bill; it does not generate a mid-cycle refund. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then.

Billing errors and duplicate charges

If you are charged in error – a duplicate charge, a charge after a confirmed cancellation, or an amount that does not match your plan – tell us and we will correct it and refund the difference. This is not a favour; it is a mistake we are fixing.

Taxes and processor fees

Refunds are of the amounts Formclock charged. Any taxes are handled according to the rules of your jurisdiction, and any non-refundable fees charged by a payment processor are outside our control; we will not withhold more than a processor obliges us to.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under mandatory law that cannot be waived. Where such a right applies and is more generous than this policy, that right prevails.

How to request a refund

Email billing@formclock.com from the address on your workspace, with your workspace name and what happened. We handle refund requests by hand and aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
